Midco is investing $17 million in upgrading our dedicated business MEF 3.0 certified multiprotocol label-switching (MPLS) fiber-optic network. This upgrade will improve network capacity with decreased latency and jitter and bring 100 Gig end-to-end speeds across our entire network. This investment complements Midco’s previously announced $500 million Fiber Forward® investment happening through 2030.
Midco oversees the region’s largest wholly owned, end-to-end fiber network. Our network is secure, high-performing and built to meet businesses’ Ethernet and networking needs.
Midco’s Vice President of Network Engineering Pao Lo said, “This upgrade allows us to provide more solutions to businesses as they grow, ensuring they have the best, latest and greatest technology to support their products and services into the future.”
Our MPLS network dynamically routes connections within milliseconds using our reliable high-capacity fiber lines. It powers services such as private networking, carrier-grade Ethernet, cell backhaul and data centers.
