Explore Midco Business Wi-Fi Pro for Small Businesses (Video Transcript)

Hello, I’m Jason Chimchirian, and I’m the Product Manager for our business services.

I'm really excited to chat with you about our next-level business product: Midco Business Wi-Fi Pro (Wi-Fi Pro), which we created to enhance your already reliable Midco Business internet connection

Wi-fi Pro provides an advanced, corner-to-corner Wi-Fi experience for (small) businesses. internet with specialized extenders and an intuitive mobile app for complete network control, visibility, security, analytics and customization. Let's break that down.

Professional Installation (0:34)

It starts with a professional installation. Our field techs will come in and install your internet and new Midco Wi-Fi pods, which act as your wi-fi extenders.

Midco Wi-Fi Pods (0:44)

But, Midco Wi-Fi Pods aren’t your typical Wi-Fi extenders. What's special about these pods is the patented Plume software running on them. It optimizes the Wi-Fi network across all installed pods and all devices connected to them. It runs an optimizer in real time to correct and adapt for changes in the network. This enhances coverage and eliminates dead zones.

The number of pods that you need will depend on your business’ layout and size, so be sure to ask your account executive about how many you’ll need to create a balanced network.

During your installation, you’ll receive a Quick Start Guide to help you on the next step: Using the Midco Business Wi-Fi Pro app.

Internet is so much more than just a standard connection these days. It’s how we power phone calls, make sure there's entertaining live TV available for guests and run POS (point-of-sale) systems.

Having control and visibility of your devices and your users is key to understanding how your internet is keeping up. The Midco Business Wi-Fi Pro app allows you to manage your network from the office or away – which is important because our solution comes with three different Access Zones you can manage.

Three Access Zones (1:49)

  1. The Secure Zone: This zone will be used for anything you want to keep separate from the rest of the network, such as security cameras, point-of-sale systems and file servers.
  2. The Employee Zone: This zone will be used for – you guessed it – you and your employees’ devices.
  3. The Guest Zone: This zone is for your guests and does not have access to the other zones. You can limit internet usage for your guests. If you want something more advanced, you can also set up a Guest Portal login.

All three of these zones act together to create a secure network that you can monitor when needed. Or, one that will function perfectly fine without you after you set it up. It’s created to automatically adapt and optimize to your day-to-day usage.
