Caller ID
Caller ID
With caller ID, you can find out who is calling you without having to pick up the phone!
- After an incoming call’s first ring, a caller’s number and/or name appear on your phone (if it includes this feature) or on an external display unit you can buy separately.
- Callers who block their caller ID information will display as private or anonymous on the caller ID.
If you want to block incoming callers who have blocked their own caller information from displaying on your caller ID, learn more about anonymous call rejection.
This optional phone service is available from Midco for an additional monthly fee.

How to Avoid Caller ID Spoofing
Although caller ID displays are helpful for identify incoming callers, this service can be susceptible to fraud caller ID spoofing. Fraudsters can deliberately falsify the phone number that’s relayed on the caller ID to disguise the identity and originator of the call.
Midco uses a robust robocalling solution that uses a combination of advanced analytics, overwriting of a caller ID name and STIR/SHAKEN technology to evaluate inbound/outbound calls – and compare data with other phone carriers. While the robocall mitigation technologies cannot stop all spam calls entirely, it can help you avoid bad calls and only answer good ones. You will see “Potential Spam” on your caller ID when a suspected robocall is coming in.
