Call Transfer
Note: Contact directory is not functional when transferring a call.
You can transfer a call to another party in three different ways:
- Blind (Cold) Transfer: Transfer a call directly to another party without consulting or introducing the caller.
- Semi-Attended Transfer: Transfer a call when receiving the ring-back.
- Attended (Warm) Transfer: Transfer a call with prior consulting or an introduction.
To transfer a call
For a blind (cold) transfer:
- From the Calls view, press the Transfer softkey or the transfer button.
- Press Blind.
- Press the green Call button.
For semi-attended or attended (warm) transfer:
- From the Calls view, press the Transfer softkey or the transfer button.
- Dial the number of the party you wish to receive the transferred call.
- When ready, press Transfer to complete the call.
To transfer a call to another party when there are two calls on the handset
- Dial the number for the first party.
- Put the first call on hold, and dial the number of the second party.
- Select the call you want to transfer.
- Press Transfer.
- The screen will display the target number that will receive the transferred call. Press Transfer to connect the parties.
To transfer a call directly to voicemail
A direct to voicemail transfer is performed when you wish to transfer a call directly to another user’s voicemail.
To conduct a direct to voicemail transfer:
- While on an active call, press Options, then select Transfer and press OK.
- The caller is automatically placed on hold.
- Enter *98 followed by the user’s extension.
- Press Transfer again. This completes the transfer to voicemail.
